Our kitchen utility knife is the perfect companion to a chef knife and our second most popular shape. Often referred to as a "petty knife" (the Japanese version of a paring or utility knife) the blade’s length and thinness are ideal for gaining greater control when working with small to medium-sized products, including fruits, vegetables, herbs, and cheeses. Sometimes called a "sandwich knife" because it can slice or chop most, if not all, of the ingredients that go into your favorite sandwich and then cut it in half. Make it your go-to when a chef knife feels excessive and a paring knife insufficient.
The handles in our Classic line are shaped to be comfortable even with extended use in the kitchen. The end hook helps reduce the chance of slipping from your grip while working.
