Nakiri is a Japanese-style kitchen knife used as a vegetable chopper. Its straight blade edge and squared-off tip make it well-suited to cutting vegetables all the way to the cutting board without the need for a horizontal pull or push. The thinner edge of our nakiri excels at precise, straight vegetable cuts. Despite its resemblance to a cleaver, it’s not intended for butchery or going through bones.

This high quality kitchen knife is handmade with desert ironwood and has an ironwood branch laser engraved onto the 7” stainless steel blade. It will quickly become a favorite go-to knife for cutting vegetables whether you cook at home or in a professional kitchen. The extremely sharp edge and elegant wood handle of our Nakiri proves that useful, everyday objects can still be beautiful.
