Retail Associate and Knife Sharpener (San Francisco, CA)
We are looking to hire a new team member for our culinary knife store in San Francisco!
Established in San Francisco in 2011, Town Cutler is a trusted provider of culinary goods and services for San Francisco's rich culinary world. We provide high-end cutlery and expert sharpening services to professional chefs, discerning culinary enthusiasts, and home cooks.
Our San Francisco store is a mix of retail and workshop for all things knives. We carry an excellent selection of cutlery and feature our housemade line of handmade knives, which we produce at our Reno warehouse location. Our San Francisco location is our flagship store and one of two retail locations, with a second store located in Chicago.
We are currently looking for the right person to join our team full-time at our San Francisco store. This position is responsible for sharpening, light production work, and sales.
Those with previous experience or interest in the food industry are encouraged to apply. Your culinary career doesn't have to end with a restaurant, bar, or catering. It can be reinvented with Town Cutler through the tools that have fostered your passion. We also encourage makers and those with previous work experience that requires skillful use of the hands to apply.
Responsibilities and Requirements include:
- Sharpening and light production work.
- Coordinating with our Chicago and Reno locations on products, orders, inventory, & events.
- Strong communication and customer service are essential to this position.
- Must be able to multitask and switch quickly between duties.
- Must be comfortable with and around knives
- Ability to work efficiently and safely.
- A willingness to learn and take direction.
- A solution-oriented mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
