Knife Care

Following proper care and maintenance will help prolong the life of your knife and ensure excellent performance.

  • Always keep your knife dry and clean!
  • Hand wash with warm soapy water. No abrasive sponges.
  • Never put your knife in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in water.
  • Dry your knife completely using an absorbent towel. We find paper towels work the best.

Important Information: All stainless steel contains some level of carbon, which is important for sharpness and performance. Because of this, light hueing can develop on stainless steel if not cleaned and dried properly.

Knife Sharpening

A sharp knife is always safer than a dull knife.

When your knife starts to feel dull, it's time to have it sharpened. Learn more about knife sharpening for Town Cutler knives.

Stunning knives

I had been eyeing these knives for a few years and decided finally to pull the plug. 40+ year-old steak knives from a first marriage were not cutting it anymore! The knives are beautiful with the color combination being fairly close to my Desert Dawn knives. I like the styling of the AG47 steak knives better. They are very chunky in ones hand and not delicate in the least. Very substantial and they slice through a thick filet like butter.

AG47 Steak Knives

These are easily be the best steak knives that I have ever seen and used. The weight, style and everything about them is absolutely perfect. They are a very high quality and extremely well made product. I couldn't be happier and the customer service has been amazing as well. I highly recommend them and there will be additional knives from Town Cutler in my future.

Great knives!

These steak knives arrived in a nice wood box that will be perfect for storing them. The handles look great, feel good in hand, and cut perfectly. I’ll be adding another set or two.

Fabulous knives

Tried them at Aubergine in Carmel by the sea, and had to have them. Sharpest steak knives I've ever had

Best I’ve ever owned

These steak knives are the best I’ve ever owned. They are beautiful works of art that perform better than they look. Super sharp and the perfect size. I have purchased four sets, two for myself and two as gifts for my kids who are starting their own homes.
