Knife Sharpening Workshop with Galen Garretson

If you own a knife that you want to keep around for a lifetime (and you should!), learning how to sharpen and care for it is critical.  

Galen Garretson, the owner of Town Cutler, will teach you about the basic chemistry of steel, edge geometry and what sharp actually means. After a quick lecture on metallurgy and the knife’s anatomy, you will then sharpen your knife using multiple steps on Japanese water stones to create a razor sharp edge. Whether you're a self-declared "knife geek" or just have a dull chef knife at home that has been driving you crazy, this class will transform the way you use this indispensable tool.

The price of this class includes a King #1,000/#6,000 grit water stone that you will take home. Please bring your own chef knife with you.
